If you’re having trouble reaching your iPhone’s Home Screen, there’s a pretty good chance that your Home button is broken. However, there’s no need to despair – there are several solutions to this common problem and we use them in Mr Fix.

To start with, you can check for any software updates that may be on the way. Then, you can drag the home button icon around to see if it works. It’s also a good idea to check if there’s a misaligned docking port.

After you’ve checked your devices, the next step is to make a backup of your phone. You can do this with a software such as FoneTool. Before you do, though, you’ll want to ensure that your phone is powered off. This way, you can make a fresh backup without risking losing all of your data.

Alternatively, you can use the iCloud to back up your iPhone. Doing so can save you the trouble of using iTunes.

Once you’ve made a backup, the next thing to do is to restore your device. A quick search for “iphone restore” in the app store should be able to give you the exact instructions. Using the same steps, you’ll be able to turn your device on again.

While you’re at it, you might as well go ahead and try to clean your home button. This will not only get rid of small particles that have built up, but it’ll also prove to be a good exercise in ole’ fashioned dexterity.

A more advanced solution, as we often use in Mr Fix, would involve using a microfiber cloth to wipe away the dust that has accumulated. This process should take no longer than ten minutes to complete. As long as you’re careful and follow these guidelines, you should be able to return your home button to its former glory.

If your device has been damaged, however, you’ll probably need to take it to the Apple Store to have it fixed. If the warranty on your iPhone is still active, you might be eligible for free repairs or replacements.

Another option, the sexiest of all, is to simply replace your broken home button with a new one. But, you should only do this if you’re sure that the old one is broken and not just faulty. Besides, you don’t want to end up with a brand new iPhone that has the same problems as your old device.

Finally, you could also consider using the Tenorshare ReiBoot software. This tool will fix any ailing hardware and software issues that might be plaguing your device. Plus, it has a built-in “favorite” function that lets you retrieve your favorite apps and content from your library.

While these tips might not work for you, they are sure to at least get you started. In the end, you might need to do a little homework to find the best solution for your situation. Hopefully, you’ll be able to get your iPhone back to its former glory in no time. By following these tips, you should be able to get the most out of your iPhone.
