We generally don’t give it a moment’s notice when we send out cards to friends and family at certain important times of the year. We know that people love to receive them and it is important that people know that they are in our thoughts and in our hearts. Why is it then that many Australian businesses are reluctant to send out such things because surely they value their customers and they want their customers to know that they are also in their thoughts with regards to doing business with them? If you have never considered sending out business holiday cards then maybe today is when that all changes.

A number of businesses all across Australia do send corporate Christmas cards and they are received with the goodwill and best intentions that they were sent in the first place. It’s important to recognise important players in your business arena and everyone likes to feel valued once in a while and sending out something like this, could be the one thing that encourages customers to stay with you for longer and suppliers as well. If you need a little bit more convincing then the following are just some of the top reasons to send out business cards on important holidays in Australia.

  • To create goodwill – When you contact customers, suppliers and wholesalers, it is always for business and so once in a while it would be nice to send something out that isn’t business-related as such. You would be surprised at the number of people who own their own businesses feel when someone takes the time to send out a card just to say thanks and hope to do business with you in the future.
  • It’s perfect for branding – You can have cards produced for you that properly reflect your business brand and everything that you stand for. Not only are you letting people know that they are in your thoughts this business season but it is the perfect opportunity to show off your business logo, maybe put your business slogan on there and to completely reinforce your business brand.
  • Just to say thank you – People don’t say these words often enough nowadays to recognise their suppliers, customers and wholesalers to let them know that they appreciate their efforts and that business wouldn’t be as good over the years without their much-needed help. It is a very positive thing to let people know that you are thankful.
  • To really communicate – People who run their own businesses are in the habit now of just deleting most direct mail that comes to them via email. If they receive a tangible card however that they can hold in your hands then there is a very high likelihood that they will open it to read the message within.

Hopefully these four reasons have convinced you that sending out cards at Christmas and other times is a fantastic way to recognise others for the work that they do today and always.
